Committed To Quality, Committed To You
In sugar extraction and beverage formulation, the quality of products is directly associated with the purity and clarity of syrup. Whether it is soft drinks, confectionery, or pharmaceutical syrups, it is a necessity to have crystal-clear and pure sugar syrup.
Traditional filtration creates persistent challenges: constant clogging of the filters, halt of production due to cleaning, labor-intensive maintenance, and unpredictable output.
Traditional cartridge filters, bag filters, and conventional strainers have continued to pose a constant problem:
Frequent Clogging: Sugar syrup contains undissolved crystals, fiber particles, dust, and suspended solids. Sticky nature increases the rate of accumulation to form obstinate blocks.
Production Downtime: Filters will need to be stopped 3-4 times each shift to clean. Every blockage will represent wasted time, syrup cooling, and disruption of operations.
Labor-Intensive Maintenance: Disassembly, cleaning and reassembling of the machines requires a specific person to manual clean the machine in 30-45 minutes of time.
Inconsistent Quality: As filters become clogged, operations will have variations in the level of filtration and therefore may have production batch rejections due to the inconstancy in the quality of syrup being produced.
High Operating Costs: Replacement filters, cleaning chemicals, disposal expenses, labor hours, lost working time, energy waste due to stop-start cycles, etc., are piled up very fast.
Self cleaning filter eliminates production interruptions through innovative technology:
The Delta P Principle: Sugar syrup is filtered from high pressure (inlet) to low pressure (outlet). The sugar syrup is filtered through the fine mesh basket, and the contaminants are left on the outer periphery as the filtered sugar syrup passes through. The filter will typically need to be manually cleaned because traditional filters will become clogged with contaminants.
Instead, a pneumatic cylinder drives a cleaning disk that continuously rotates along the basket’s inner surface, mechanically dislodging accumulated particles. The particles drop into a collection chamber situated at the bottom which the system flushes out automatically through a discharge valve at fixed time intervals.
The critical advantage: cleaning happens while filtration continues. Production will not stop, the system will not be depressurized and will require no manual effort. The filter system operates automatically which results in continuous high efficiency maintenance throughout its entire operational period.
24/7 Continuous Operation: Continuous production without interruption, even on a daily and weekly basis. No scheduled shutdowns or emergency shutdowns. Throughput on many operations will be improved by 20-30% by removing downtime.
High-Temperature Performance: Handles liquids up to 250°C, keeping syrup at optimal temperature and viscosity throughout filtration. No cooling during changes, no energy wasted reheating.
Handles Varying Viscosity: Processes between 1 centipoise (like water) and 50,000 centipoise (honey-like). Stability in performance between thin beverage syrups up to thick confectionery solutions.
Customizable Filtration: Trapezoidal mesh baskets with varying sizes from 25 microns (ultra-fine) to 3000 microns (coarser filtration). Choose precise fineness of your product specifications.
Scalable Flow Rates: Models from 10 to 1,000 liters per minute. It comes in options of SCF 250, 500, 800 and 1600 depending on the level on which the production is carried out.
Self cleaning filters serve diverse applications:
All industries require reliable, consistent, contamination-free filtration capabilities without interruption to their production.
Most operations achieve payback within 12 to 18 months because they save money from eliminating downtime.
Key selection factors:
A beverage manufacturer processing 500 L/hour with conventional cartridge filters stopped production every 2 hours for cleaning, 2 hours of total downtime per shift.
After installing a self-cleaning filter:
Sugar syrup filtration has evolved beyond traditional limitations. Self-cleaning filters provide multiple advantages which include operational availability, cost savings, constant product quality, and actual nonstop manufacturing capability.
For sugar processors and beverage manufacturers, the question isn’t whether to adopt this technology, but when. Operations that have transitioned consistently report wishing they’d done so sooner.
Your production deserves filtration that works 24/7 without interruption or compromise.
