Committed To Quality, Committed To You
One of India’s most prominent food and beverage processing start-ups needed assistance with labor, time, and cost issues. Galaxy Sivtek’s R&D and design teams devised a customized solution.
The company is one of the largest producers, processors, and distributors of organic products. Not only does the company produce organic products, but it also engages in environmental conservation, sustainable agricultural development, and the development of Indian farming societies.
Galaxy Sivtek was contacted by the engineering team of the company for sieving and filtering solutions. Clients were concerned about a variety of issues.
Primary concerns were labor costs and labor time associated with manually feeding the flour bags into the screening machine, which took a considerable amount of time and was not cost-effective. As well as being a health hazard, it was also a danger to the individual carrying it manually.
There was also a problem that came to our attention regarding conveying and dumping the material onto the vibro screen. Also, this was manually performed, which resulted in irregular flow rates and altered outputs.
There was also a requirement for a solution to maintain the quality of the product and remove all ferrous contaminants. A thorough examination by experts led to a conclusion.
Since the customer’s requirements were so extensive, the design and R&D team had to visit the manufacturing facility in Madhya Pradesh, where the technical director explained the entire system’s process flow and requested a solution within a short period of time.
As the design team encountered the problem step by step, they developed a pneumatic bag tilter that was capable of lifting weights up to 70 kilograms and dropping them off at the bag dump station, where two pneumatic ball vibrators were installed to tap the hopper mechanism to prevent the accumulation of material.
Another concern was the handling of material and the transfer of it from one location to another, which was addressed by designing a screw conveyor that would transfer the material from the hopper of the bag dump station to the Vibro screen for sieving.
In this case, two levels of grading were provided for oversize and undersized particles. The sandwich screen ring is designed to provide consistent screening and increased strength of the mesh screen. At the output of the material, a magnetic grill is provided for the final check on ferrous contaminants.
By providing them with a customized solution, they were able to not only achieve the desired results, but also resolve the main problems of cleaning heavy dusting, mesh choking, and product loss.
